BASSETTS X TERRESTRIAL

Effective dry fly for New Zealand backcountry trout during the summer months. In large sizes it convincingly imitates cicadas and provokes aggressive strikes when slapped onto the water. Smaller versions suggest beetles, blowflies, ants, or caddis. Fish it as a single dry for active fish or with a pheasant tail dropper when targeting deeper water.
